OOTD: Summer Wishes

Dress (worn as a skirt): River Island
Jumper: H&M
Bracelet: Market Stall

I feel like I havent done an OOTD post in quite a while, as I've mentioned many times before, I dont have a tripod so OOTD photos are no easy feat! I decided, for weather reasons mainly, to take my photos in my room today opposed to outside by the wall! I have been re-organising parts of my room, steadily bit by bit, until its just how I want it and over the last few days I've been changing my dressing table, so I thought I would include a photo, even though I instagramed one yesterday!

This outfit is kind of summery thanks to the dress, which I am actually wearing as a skirt, I have had it for quite a while now. I bought it from River Island and I thought it was a dress, but it says something about nightwear in the label? So, it could just be a nightdress for all I know. However, I have seen people wearing the exact same dress out before, so...I'll roll with it. The jumper is purely to keep me cosy and I have a knack of adding the colour navy into every outfit I wear. Even my pyjama's are navy. I can't help it, and then again to keep me warm I am wearing tights and also they hide my pale legs! As much as I tried to tan them during our sunny period, they just wouldn't turn any shade of brown and I am to scared of fake tan, as the streaky look that I am bound to get, isn't very desireable!

Sorry that my duvet looks a little horrible in the pictures, the duvet cover I am currently using is my mum's old one which is years old and kingsize (my beds a double!), so it does look a little weird. I am planning on buying this duvet set from Tesco's after I saw it on Emma from Milkteef's instagram! I am a sucker for anything Cath Kidston or inspired, and this is right up my street. I also think it suits my rooms 'decor'!

PS. Thanks for all the lovely blog birthday comments in yesterdays post!

  3. your vanity table is amazing like i said on twitter~ With weather like these days, it's hard to resist a nice cosy jumper! Tights are a must too because its really cold outside. If you want a natural tan, you should try out the Clinique-self sun body tinted lotion :) Thanks for sharing~x

  15. Your dressing table is gorgeous. Did it take a while to find all the pieces?
Also, I laughed at your navy comment because that's so true of me as well. I got a job a while back where I had to wear black and ended up having to go shopping, because all of my stuff is navy and grey.
But I wouldn't trade it, it is my favourite dark neutral colour.
    Have a great Monday,
    Mel

    1. Why thankyou!
A majority of the things have been around in the house for years, it just took me a long time to put it all together! Its taken years for me to find the perfect mirror, I have had tonnes of mirrors, but this is finally the one that looks the best!

Navy is the easiest colour to wear thats not black, its close, but less gothic! Everything I have navy!
