Soap&Glory Kick Ass Concealer

Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer - £8

I recently posted a makeup review and it seems to garner a hugely positive response, as a person who keeps buying makeup (and wear only a small collection of it), I have plenty more where that came from.

Soap & Glory have recently released their cosmetic line and it has caused much conversation within the blogging community. The packaging is flawless and the product design is rather innovative. But, what about the actual product itself?

I dislike the Kick Ass Concealer. I will freely admit. The consistency is wrong, its thick and clumsy, 'cakey' if you will. I have troublesome skin and many blemishes, but struggle to cover them with this product. The concealer collects in the creases of your under eyes, and ultimately doesnt stay where it should.

I was disappointed as I am such an advocate of Soap & Glorys products, but even companies as fabulous as S&G have bad days!

  1. i dont think i will be checking this out because its a bit expensive compared to the collection 2000 concealer i am using now xx

  2. I love Soap&Glory's bath products but their cosmetic range never really drew me in. I might have to rethink now and give this concealer a go. I currently use the MAC prolongwear which works beautifully but is £13.50! D: not really feeling spending that money at the rate I go through it. *curses problem skin*

  3. This sounds good, but I definitely agree about the good old collection 2000 one! I choose it over my MAC studio Sculpt most days!

  5. Great review and gorgeous photos as always! :)
I was literally just checking this out in Boots yesterday. I would definitely give this, and the other products a go, and to be honest, £8 is still fairly reasonable compared to MAC etc. I definitely think the packaging will be the draw with their cosmetics, they're so pretty! :)

  22. I've never tried soap & glory. Is this sold in the US?

I like Bare Minerals because I feel like it doesn't clog my pores. Whenever I use cream foundation, I swear, I have blackheads & other gnarly things. Bare Minerals is a lighter coverage, but I would rather take that over clogged pores :(

  26. My boots has the stand now! I looked at a few things, bit put off with how cheap the mascara smells and such a high price for it :/ However I do adore their bath range, just not struck but the makeup.

  31. I bought this product yesterday and understand what you mean about step two being a little cakey but it works quite well on my skin. i LOVE the packaging too !! mainly the reason i bought it, i found it a lot better than the 'stick' concealers that you get; much easier to apply and it's suuuper cute!! xoxo
